many more pianos along with descriptions will be uploaded soon.
Over the years I have acquired a collection of antique pianos, some of them extremely rare. They date from as old as 1779 to the late 19th century. I have squares, square grands, uprights, and grands. Many of these instruments are undergoing restoration as time permits, and my intent is to make them available for concerts and recordings in the Pittsburgh and surrounding area. If you see a particular piano here that you would like to rent for a concert or recording session, please inquire.
Lemeuel Gilbert Upright Made in Boston 1850’s. Case in rosewood, over-dampers, bi-chord throughout, straight-strung, leather hammers, and true una-corda. No cast plate, only metal truss rods running through the back posts. Very delicate, angelic, and pure sound Under restoration.
Extremely rare 1830s/1840s Andrew Reuss bent-side square made in Cincinnati Ohio. Possibly the only one in existence and completely original. This incredible little piano has a Viennese action, unwound brass stringing in the bass, and a second soundboard underneath the main soundboard. The sound quality is absolutely gorgeous, with a very mellow, pure, yet singing quality.

1840s? Stodart and Dunham Concert Grand made in New York. There are very few if any other American Concert Grands from this early with known whereabouts. This one has an Erard style action with under-dampers, straight-stringing, and a combination of felt and leather hammers. Recessed panel case in rosewood. This will be a real gem to hear and play. It is in almost completely original condition.
Adam Beyer Square Piano Circa 1779. This is very early example of one of the top English makers. Completely original condition with dust cover/resonance board still present. This is a very well made and fine sounding instrument. I would consider making a reproduction of this instrument for any who would be interested.
