      <image:title>Pianos for Sale</image:title>
<image:caption>For Sale After Restoration: Steinway Square Grand Circa 1859. This incredible piano has a beautifully warm, resonant and reedy bass and clear and distinct treble. Made only 6 years after Heinrich Steinweg established his piano business in the United States changing his name to Henry Steinway. Steinway was a pioneer in the development of the modern piano and their early square grands from the 1850s have romantic sustain, distinct registers, robust tone and are perfect for early ragtime, and American parlor music. One can not fully appreciate or understand ragtime, blues, and early jazz until they have experienced it through the early square grands made during this period.</image:caption>

Wonderful instrument for Late Baroque, Early Classical and European folk music among a multitude of other possibilities. <image:caption>For Sale After Restoration: Mathushek Colibri Square Grand Circa 1863. This is an extremely rare miniature square grand made by the ingenious Fredrick Mathushek. He was responsibly for many of the developments that culminated in the modern piano including the modern hammer press that made it possible to press an entire set of hammers at once rather than one at a time by hand. This piano is compact with a very interesting string scale and a clear and beautiful singing treble. It measures only about 4'10" long. For sale after restoration. <image:caption>Extremely rare 1830s/1840s Andrew Reuss bent-side square made in Cincinnati Ohio. Possibly the only one in existence and completely original. This incredible little piano has a Viennese action, unwound brass stringing in the bass, and a second soundboard underneath the main soundboard. The sound quality is absolutely gorgeous, with a very mellow, pure, yet singing quality.</image:caption>

<image:caption>1840s? Stodart and Dunham Concert Grand made in New York. There are very few if any other American Concert Grands from this early with known whereabouts. This one has an Erard style action with under-dampers, straight-stringing, and a combination of felt and leather hammers. Recessed panel case in rosewood. This will be a real gem to hear and play. It is in almost completely original condition.</image:caption>
